It's hot!

The high here in Howe, Indiana will reach 91 degrees today! It's gonna be a scorcher. We're keeping the kids hydrated with plenty of water and rests in between activities.

There's a lot going on today, too. We're taking the kids who are able and willing on the mudhike. For those of you who don't know, the mudhike is a quarter-mile trail of mud pits that reach about chest deep. After slogging through the mud, the kids end up in the lake to wash off a little bit. Then it's off to the shower house before dinner starts.

We might also take some kids on a swim to the other side of South Twin Lake if there's any takers!

(p.s. Maybe we can put up a picure after the kids are done with the mudhike!

Week 2 Update!

We are well into our second week of camp with campers and everything is going great! The weather is hot, but GREAT for swimming. We've also got our big campwide cookout and campout tonight. We're going to cook our own dinners on the fire, and have some s'mores later on for a snack! We might even post a picture of our outpost adventures later on tonight.
